Target: mt7925-hackintosh-bluetooth (MtkBt) and LegionBtFix. Open: #1, the warm-restart FUNC_CTRL report (0.2.3, then 0.2.4 with at most 2 resets per boot; waiting on the reporter). Confidence uses High / Medium / Low / Unverified.
An HP MT7925 card stuck on the placeholder controller looks like our NVRAM key case (Medium). thanhnndev/ga403wm-hackintosh#10: an HP OEM card (USB 0e8d:8c38) on macOS 15.8.1.
- What works: the firmware loads to
bt-state=ready. - What doesn't:
system_profilershowsBCM_4350C2,Transport: UART,Address: NULL. That's what bluetoothd falls back to whenbluetoothInternalControllerInfoisn't exactly 14 bytes, which we traced on an ASRock X870 board. - Unconfirmed: the reporter hasn't posted his NVRAM yet.
- Not his problem: UTBMap (the device enumerates fine) or LegionBtFix (he's on Sequoia, and LegionBtFix is gated to 25G241).
- Also relevant: his note that section 2 returns status 255 after a warm reboot is our #1 failure mode. MtkBt matches 0e8d:8c38 without plist edits.
Not answered from here; a reply is drafted in the run report.
- Two more machines use MtkBt (High). BelikPePe-UA/legion5-15irx10-hackintosh (Legion 5 15IRX10, Sequoia) and Game-5040/hackintosh-hp-8f06-macos26 (HP OMEN 16, Tahoe) run MtkBt 0.2.2 with the 14-byte key. Both should move to 0.2.4 for warm restarts.
- MT7922 Bluetooth in ga403wm (Medium). ga403wm-hackintosh#7 adds MT7922 (0489:e0f6) firmware selection to MtkBtFw. A mouse works; AirPods connect but play about one time in fifteen. That looks like the A2DP and LE problems LegionBtFix solves on 25G241, but it's on Sequoia, so Unverified.
