What happened
I am experiencing consistent, intermittent kernel panics related to memory management. I have collected 5 separate panic logs, and they all point to the exact same failure point in the macOS memory resident allocator.
Common Failure Point across all 5 logs:
panic: vm_page_validate_no_references: page 0x1000c8000 is referenced com.apple.vm_resident.c:731
While the core memory management function (_vm_page_free_prepare_object) that triggers the panic is identical every time, the active process at the time of the crash varies:
pid 737: Microsoft Excel(panic-2026-11-04-004729)pid 434: tccd(panic-2026-11-05-004809 & 004847)pid 898: EdgeUpdater(panic-2026-11-05-035841)pid 835: Microsoft Edge(panic-2026-11-05-070639)
Since the panics span across different user-space applications (Excel, Edge, tccd), it seems to be an underlying memory management or GPU/driver interaction issue triggered when applications request or free memory.
