Stage 2 report: Lenovo Legion Y7000P IRX10 / i9-14900HX / 8086:A788 #12
Hi @watchthelight — picking this up here, since the thread that started on my repo is now in an archived (read-only) repo. The 26.x rewrite of my notes is up at https://github.com/UNDERDOG07/legion-y7000p-update-macos26-drivers, as promised.
- Laptop: Lenovo Legion Y7000P IRX10 (83NN)
- CPU: Intel Core i9-14900HX (Raptor Lake-HX)
- iGPU: Raptor Lake-HX GT1, 8086:A788, revision 04, subsystem 17AA:802F
- dGPU: RTX 5060 Laptop, 10DE:2D59, driven by NullMoth 2.6.5 (NVRM / NVRMFB / NVAccel / NVRMAGDC)
- macOS: 26.7.2 (25G332), Darwin 25.6.0, x86_64
- XeGfx: prebuilt v0.0.47
- BIOS graphics mode: Discrete only. The MUX was not touched for this run.
- OpenCore / iGPU visibility: the iGPU enumerates as GFX0@2 at 00:02.0, device-id = <88a70000>, class 038000. No Intel driver is bound to it: zero AppleIntel*Graphics loaded, only a generic IONDRVFramebuffer with its usual MCCS and AGPM children. WhateverGreen is in the kext folder with Enabled=False, there are no iGPU device properties, no -wegnoigpu, and no GFX0 rename in ACPI.
Load and stage:
sudo kmutil load -b org.watchthelight.XeGfx
sudo sysctl debug.xegfx_stage=2
debug.xegfx_stage: 0 -> 2
Registry output:
+-o XeGfxResident <class XeGfxResident, id 0x100000e76, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (0 ms), retain 5>

Complete output of sysctl -b debug.xegfx_log:
xegfx: vm: vmap selftest 0
debug.xegfx_stage / debug.xegfx_running / debug.xegfx_progress → 2 / 0 / 23.
Only stage 2 was run on this machine. Both displays (internal panel and a 1440p external, hardware-mirrored) stayed on the dGPU through the whole run, and pipe-a-lit = 0 with plane-ctl-1-a = 0x08, which is what Discrete mode should look like. The 0380 fix worked: the probe found the iGPU with the MUX untouched.
