Battery readings look like placeholders: 60 W adapter, 8000 mV charging voltage, static temperature #1

SMCBatteryManager reports values that cannot be right for this machine:

  • AC adapter: 60 W. The Legion ships with a much larger adapter.
  • ChargingVoltage = 8000 mV for a 16.7 V pack (Voltage = 16748 mV).
  • Temperature = 2931 (about 20 °C) in four samples one minute apart while the machine was under load, so it is not a live sensor.

Cycle count (46), health and charge state look plausible. The likely cause is the battery ACPI methods the SSDT/patches expose to SMCBatteryManager (no charging voltage, temperature or adapter fields).

Tested on Lenovo Legion 5 15IAX10, MT7925, macOS 26.7.1 (25G241). Evidence: project-legion evidence/native/featuretest-2026-10-18/A/pwr.readings.txt, pwr.tempdrift.txt.
